Placing 9th in the world, the all-girl Super 7 team delivered a flawless semifinal routine and represented Montgomery County with pride on the global stage in Orlando.
Cheer Extreme DMV’s Super 7 placed in the top 10 non-tumbling level 7 all-girl division at the Cheerleading Worlds competition, Monday, April 28 in Orlando Florida. Coming in an impressive 9th place, the Super 7 competed against the top 14 teams in their division.
Led by coach Jessie Leone, the team first competed in the semi finals on Saturday qualifying with a flawless performance to move on to Monday’s final competition.
Other local teams also received bids and competed at the Cheerleading Worlds, including another team from the same gym Heist which is in the Extra Small All-Girl level 6 and Maryland Twisters Moco’s Ozone which is in the U 18 coed non tumble level 6 division.
The Cheerleading Worlds took place the past four days from April 25 to April 28 in Orlando, Fl. It is one of the world’s most prestigious competitions for all-star cheerleaders where the best out of the best come to compete from around the world to globe and win worlds.
This coming week we will root for the lower level teams at the summit.
