One of the country’s biggest outdoor film tours is making a stop in DC – and it’s bringing a local connection with it.
On Wednesday, April 8, the Wild & Scenic Film Tour rolls into the Miracle Theatre, showcasing a lineup of adventure films from around the world.
Tickets are just $5.
Meet Mikah Meyer – From Rockville to All 400+ National Parks
One of the featured filmmakers is Mikah Meyer, a former Montgomery County resident who lived in Rockville while preparing for an extraordinary journey.
Meyer went on to complete a 3-year, record-setting road trip to all 419 U.S. National Park Service sites, becoming the first person to visit them all in a single journey.

His short film, part of this tour, has already:
- Won a Jury Award at the Wild & Scenic Film Festival
- Earned Audience Choice honors at the Chagrin Documentary Festival
- Been selected among the top outdoor films of the year

Beyond the adventure, his work focuses on inclusion, storytelling, and pushing people to live “beyond convention.”
