Why Are You Running For Office?
I’m running for office because I believe in stepping up and taking action. Every day, Americans face serious challenges, and I don’t want to stand by and do nothing. I know I can’t solve every problem, but if I can help make life a bit better for even one person, that matters a lot to me.
What Is The Biggest Issue Facing Voters In This Race?
The main concern for voters in this election is the risk of losing important rights because of actions by the current White House administration. Job losses, cuts to federal funding, threats to reproductive and LGBTQIA+ rights, and many other problems caused by these policies will affect us for years.
What Experience Best Prepares You For This Role?
My experience with electoral campaigns in Maryland and Northern Virginia, service as a legislative staffer in the House of Delegates, and volunteer roles as a precinct leader and member of the 2024 Ballot Questions Advisory Committee, along with a recent Graduate Certificate in Public Administration, have prepared me well for this role.
What Would You Like Voters To Know About You Personally?
Alongside my work with the Democratic Party, I have experience as a freelance television producer, where I interviewed individuals from diverse backgrounds and gained insight into life across the United States. I have also worked as a nonprofit professional and volunteered in cancer research fundraising. Through these roles, I have seen firsthand how our healthcare system fails to support the sick and the poor, and I am committed to advocating for necessary change.
