“Nate the Great” at Imagination Stage
Imagination Stage’s energizing performance of the well-renown kid
detective “Nate the Great”, has left an overwhelmingly positive impact on all who
come to see it, including myself!
The story of kid detective Nate the Great has been greatly popular, the title
ringing familiar to most people. It’s book series date back to the 1970’s, as well as
an adapted television show sharing the same name. At Imagination Stage, the
Bethesda preforming arts theater displays a captivating musical version of Nate,
that has both young children and family members of all ages laughing at witty
jokes and amazingly brilliant acting. The talented cast of the production are full of
energy, and with no intermission, the nonstop singing and dancing are greatly
appreciated by all audiences.
But wait, it gets better. Not only do the wonderful cast manage to keep
young kids engaged, but so do many of the quirky and smart practical effects used
in the show, surprising all audiences!
Coming to Imagination Stage for the first time in years, I wasn’t sure what to
expect from a detective musical I knew nothing about, much less whether my
twelve-year-old brother and I would enjoy the show the same as younger
audiences. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised.
