This holiday season, consider ways to help MCPS students pay off their student lunch debt. In FY2024, “Dine with Dignity seeks to raise $170,000 to settle a fraction of the more than $700,000 unpaid meal debt accrued by MCPS students.”
Anyone Can Donate
Anyone can donate to help children pay off their MoCo lunch debt by going to:

Former MCPS Students Can Donate Their Balance
If your child(ren) attended a MoCo school, you can SHARE the balance of their money with those with debt by sending an email to: DFNSHelpDesk@mcpsmd.org
Let them know that you would like to donate the balance of your child(ren)’s account.
Include your student’s first and last name, their date of birth; the last school they attended; and their Student ID number if it is known.

This is a little strange. So, MCPS gets the donation now to payoff the “debt”, then when FARMS comes in, do they get that too? This does not appear to be helping the child at all. Show me where I’m wrong please.
