Josanne Francis (July 11): Trinidad-born steelpan artist, current Strathmore Artistic Advancement Fellow, and a 2018 Strathmore Artist in Residence alum brings Caribbean tradition and jazz innovation to the stage.
Big Bloom Festival (Aug. 8): Vocalist Kanysha, a 2026 Strathmore Artist in Residence, and D.C.’s Crush Funk Brass Band headline a high-energy celebration of funk, soul, and jazz.

MISSION BELONGING VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS

Beholding (July 16): Write odes and ekphrastic poems about what draws your attention with award-winning poet Christina Olivares.
