The Montgomery County Board of Elections is expected to officially certify the results of the 2026 Gubernatorial Primary during a virtual meeting Wednesday afternoon, marking the final step in the county’s election process following the completion of ballot canvassing.
The Board of Canvassers will meet at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, to certify the election results. Once certified, the results become the county’s official vote totals before being transmitted as part of Maryland’s statewide certification process. The meeting will be livestreamed, with viewing information available on the Montgomery County Board of Elections website.
The certification follows several rounds of ballot canvassing that included Election Day ballots, early voting, mail-in ballots, and provisional ballots, bringing the closely watched 2026 Democratic primary to its official conclusion in Montgomery County.
