Why Are You Running For Office?

I am tired of the Tax Increases in Montgomery County by the Establishment Politicians which is making Montgomery County Unaffordable specially when our Brother & Sisters from Federal Government who lost their Jobs will have to pay more Taxes.The Establishment Politicians have failed us from almost 8 years. Hence, I am Running for the Office & will do the followings,1) Provide Free Childcare by increasing Tax on Individuals Earning $1Million+ per year by working with State Legislators by enabling Legislation2) Provide Free Universal Pre-K by increasing Tax on Business Profiting $1Million+ per year by working with State Legislators by enabling Legislation3) Make Montgomery Community College Tuition Free for all Students4) Any Full Time Service Employees & Educators from Montgomery County & MCPS should get no less than $60K & $80K per year with Healthcare & Pension Benefits & any Part Time Service Employees & Educators from Montgomery County & MCPS should get no less than $30K & $40K per year with Healthcare & Pension Benefits5) Maintain a Balanced Budget6) Reduce the Homestead Tax Credit Cap from 10% to 6% for all Residents7) Provide Higher Homeowners Tax Credits to Seniors, Special Needs & Low Income Households8) Provide Funding to Adult Protective Service, expand Service to Seniors with ADA Compliance9) Provide Affordable Healthcare Assistance & Support Women Rights to Choose10) Create Small Business-Friendly environment by cutting Red Tape for Business11) Create Marketplace for Interested Small Businesses in Montgomery County Website by vetting process by County, include them in County Contracts by public bidding process & send email blasts to County Residents with their details 12) Modernize the Workforce by having Community Events on Regular Basis13) Enforce all County Department & County Employees to publish their Direct Contact & respond to all Complaints from Residents within 24-48 hours timeframe14) Provide Legal Support to Stop illegal Deportation without Due Process15) Provide Free Metro Bus Passes, Free Toll Passes & Free Parking Passes to Students, Special Needs & Low Income Household16) Stop Liquor sales by Montgomery County & Convert the Liquor Stores to Grocery Stores17) Provide Free County Office Spaces to Non Profit Organizations on No-Profit-No-Loss Basis18) Establish a State-of-the-Art University in Montgomery County, Maryland19) Reduce Crime, allow Graduate Students to join as Police-Intern to fill Vacancy20) Expose all Corruptions in the System(Government, Judicial, Election…etc)to make it Fair

What Is The Biggest Issue Facing Voters In This Race?

Affordability & Tax Increases. These are the top issues that I personally believe that Voters are facing.The Establishment Politicians kept on increasing the Taxes & making Montgomery County Unaffordable. In the last 7 to 8 years Montgomery County Expenses went up by 44% but the Economy didn’t grow that much & hence, the Taxes are going up & People are leaving Montgomery County.We don’t want to increase the Tax Rate but the Tax Base by cutting Red Tapes for Businesses & make Montgomery County more Business Friendly.I am a Small Business Owner & I must say that Montgomery County is not at all Business Friendly. Montgomery County find ways to hurt Small Businesses & make it difficult to Operate.Once Elected, I will change this. I will remove Red Tapes for Businesses & make Montgomery County more Business-Friendly.

What Experience Best Prepares You For This Role?

Mr. Mithun Banerjee, a Former Faculty Member & a Research Assistant, with a distinguished career spanning Microsoft, Oracle, US Department of Veteran’s Affair, T-Mobile, Honeywell…etc. He has successfully managed multi-million dollar projects as a Program/Project Manager. He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Lamar University, Texas.As I have worked in Private Sectors, I can bring that experience from Private Sector in the County Executive Role & get the Job done in the Budget Optimally & not increase the Budget every year other than the Inflation Rate & not keep on increasing Taxes every year.

My name is Mithun Banerjee. I was born in India & I am here in the USA for almost quarter to a Century. I have a Master Degree in Electrical Engineering & Bachelor in Electronics & Communication. I have 11 Publications & been Review Panel Member for Nation Science Foundation, NASA, Department of Defense, National Science Board & Office of Naval Research invited me.I was the Young Engineer of the Year in 2013 at Washington DC Metro Area & Received Proclamation signed by President Obama during attending the White House Asian American Pacific Islander Event. I had the honor to be invited to the White House by President Biden & First Lady Dr. Jill Biden during 2023. I worked for Companies like Microsoft, Oracle, Honeywell, T-Mobile, US Department of Veterans Affairs…etc.
