Last month it came out Dr. Monifa McKnight (former MCPS Superintendent who was paid over $1.3 million as part of her resignation) took a newly created position at The University of Maryland, College Park as Dean’s Fellow and Superintendent in Residence.
We can now confirm Dr. McKnight’s salary at UMD based upon an MPIA request.
“The current 2024-2025 salary for Dr. Monifa McKnight is $150,000 for a 9 month appointment”
There has also been some pushback due to the hiring by UMD including a petition to reverse their decision.
