The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring has once again earned national recognition, and now it needs the community’s help to reach the top spot.
On May 4, 2026, USA Today’s 10Best nominated The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring for its list of the Best Aerial Adventure Parks in the United States. This marks the third consecutive year the Sandy Spring park has been nominated.
Public Voting Open
Public voting is now open, with final rankings determined by votes cast over the next month. Voting ends on June 1, 2026, and USA Today will announce the final results on June 10, 2026.
The Adventure Park has already proven it can compete nationally. In both the 2024 and 2025 USA Today 10Best competitions, the park finished No. 2 overall and earned the top ranking among all parks in the continental United States.

Located at 16701 Norwood Road in Sandy Spring, The Adventure Park is a family-owned and operated business that also serves as a fundraiser for Sandy Spring Friends School. A significant portion of revenue generated by the park directly supports the school.

Founded in 2010, The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring Friends School is the largest aerial ropes course and zipline park in Maryland, welcoming roughly 100,000 visitors each year. The park was also named the fourth Association for Challenge Course Technology Accredited park in the country in 2023 and remains the only park of its kind in Maryland to receive that certification.
