Introduction

We have been collecting, aggregating and analyzing data on various public school testing results over recent years.

The results are below and we will continue to add.

Note: Due to changes to test over time, there is no exact comparison. Also, some of the 2021 data is incomplete as not enough appear to have taken the tests.

The 2018-2021 data have a “percent proficient” column which is scores of 4 or 5.  The previous year Excels have columns for scores of 4 or 5, but do not calculate the percent proficient.

This is a problem because the <5% designation encompasses 0 to 5%.

To get accurate numbers for the 0 to 5%, you need to manually look up each school for percent proficient at this website.

The tests are what MSDE is using to define proficiency by their standards.  2015 to 2019 were PARCC tests, but they are being called “MCAP.”    2021 was a shortened version of the new MCAP test that was to replace PARCC beginning in 2020 (no testing was done in 2020).
