Johnson, who has more than 20 years of experience in corrective exercise and performance training, has built a career helping busy professionals stay strong, mobile, and injury-resilient through practical and sustainable fitness strategies.
The competition, organized by Colossal, also raises funds and awareness for the The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation, one of the large organizations in the country dedicated to supporting families of children battling cancer. The foundation provides financial assistance to families while also helping fund critical childhood cancer research initiatives.
For Johnson, the competition represents more than personal recognition. It is also an opportunity to highlight the power of consistent training and community support while contributing to a meaningful cause.
A Career Built on Accountability and Consistency
Throughout his two decades in the fitness industry, Johnson has worked with a wide range of clients, particularly busy professionals balancing demanding careers, family responsibilities, and limited time for exercise.
To address those challenges, he developed the ACT Accountability Program, a training system focused on three core principles:
- Accountability
- Consistency
- Time-Efficient Training
The ACT approach emphasizes structured workouts, measurable progress tracking, and consistent coaching support to help clients stay committed to their fitness goals.
“Many people think fitness requires spending hours in the gym,” Johnson said.
“In reality, the key is accountability and consistency. When training is efficient and structured, people can build strength, improve mobility, and stay injury-resilient even with busy schedules.”

Johnson’s work often focuses on adults over 40, helping them maintain functional strength, mobility, and long-term health through targeted strength training and corrective exercise.
Representing Montgomery County on a National Stage
Advancing to the quarterfinals of the Mr. Health & Fitness Contest has provided Johnson with the opportunity to represent the Clarksburg and Montgomery County community on a national stage.
The competition progresses through several rounds of public voting, with contestants across the country competing for a chance to move forward in the tournament-style format. As Johnson continues advancing, he hopes to highlight both the positive impact of fitness and the importance of supporting charitable causes.

“The support from the Montgomery County community has been incredible,” Johnson said. “It’s motivating to know that people here are behind me as the competition moves forward.”
Supporting Families Facing Childhood Cancer
One of the most meaningful aspects of the competition for Johnson is its connection to the B+ Foundation.
The organization was founded in honor of Andrew McDonough, a young athlete who bravely battled leukemia. Today, the foundation provides financial assistance, emotional support, and resources to families navigating childhood cancer diagnoses while also supporting research aimed at improving treatment outcomes.
By participating in the competition, Johnson hopes to help bring additional attention to the foundation’s mission and the families it serves.
Looking Ahead
As the competition continues, Johnson remains focused on both his training and his coaching work with clients throughout Montgomery County. He also hopes to continue promoting the message that fitness can be accessible and sustainable for people with demanding lives.
“Fitness should empower people,” Johnson said. “It’s not about perfection or extremes. It’s about building strength, staying healthy, and showing up consistently.”
