Before you go

  • Find a center: see the Board of Elections’ list of 14 centers, or text EV and your ZIP code to 77788.
  • Check the line: the county posts current wait times at each center.
  • Not registered? You can register and vote the same day at an early voting center. Bring a document that proves where you live, such as your MVA license or ID card, or a paycheck, bank statement or utility bill. The State Board of Elections explains what counts.
  • Check your registration: use the State Board of Elections’ Voter Lookup.
  • See your ballot first: the State Board of Elections posts Montgomery County’s sample ballots.

If you miss early voting

  • Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. You must vote at your assigned polling place; find it with the Polling Place Locator.
  • Have a mail-in ballot? We suggest returning it in one of the county’s 58 official drop boxes rather than the mail. Drop boxes are open until 8 p.m. on Nov. 3. You can also hand it in at an early voting center today. Sign the oath on the return envelope, or the ballot will not count.
