Election Day (November 3)

On Election Day you vote at your assigned polling place. Find it with the State Board of Elections’ Polling Place Locator or the Voter Lookup.

Voting by mail

  • Our suggestion: use a drop box instead of the mail. A drop box gets your ballot to the Board of Elections without depending on postal timing. Drop boxes are open until 8 p.m. on November 3.
  • Returning your ballot: mail it (postmarked by 8 p.m. November 3), put it in one of the county’s 58 official drop boxes by 8 p.m. November 3, or hand it in at any early voting center during early voting or any polling place on Election Day. Sign the oath on the return envelope, or the ballot will not count.
  • Changed your mind and want to vote in person? Cancel your mail-in ballot first, or you will vote a provisional ballot. The county explains how to cancel.
