Montgomery County residents who are not registered to vote have until Tuesday, October 13 to get an application in ahead of the November 3 general election.

Missing that date is not the end of it. Maryland allows same-day registration during early voting and on Election Day, as long as you bring proof of where you live. The October 13 deadline is simply the last day to register the easy way, without having to prove your address at a voting center.

Who Can Register

To register in Maryland you must be a U.S. citizen, a Maryland resident, and at least 16 years old. A 16-year-old may register but cannot vote until they turn 18. Anyone who will be 18 by Election Day on November 3 can vote in this election.
