Why Are You Running For Office?

Every family deserves compassionate support during lifeโ€™s hardest moments. Thatโ€™s why Iโ€™m running for Montgomery County Register of Wills. I know firsthand how difficult it is to navigate estate planning and the loss of a loved one, and I believe our community deserves better. Iโ€™m committed to bringing transparency, efficiency, and compassion to this office.

What Is The Biggest Issue Facing Voters In This Race?

When someone loses a loved one, the last thing they should face is long wait times, confusing paperwork, or not knowing where to turn. But thatโ€™s the reality for too many families navigating the probate process today. If elected, Iโ€™ll work with state legislators on alternative funding models, pursue grants for technology upgrades, and find smart ways to streamline operations without sacrificing service. This office should be efficient, accessible, and ready to serve every family.

What Experience Best Prepares You For This Role?

I bring to Montgomery County more than two decades of public service, focusing on uplifting many communities. My leadership experience includes connecting job seekers to employment, fostering leadership, and creating unique collaborations by leveraging local, state, and federal resources. I also bring to the table my knowledge of managing large-scale budgets. I have connected residents to essential services and ensured regulatory compliance while managing teams. I have also spent nearly two decades serving on multiple non-profit boards advocating for people with disabilities, underserved communities, immigrants, and Montgomery County residents.

What Would You Like Voters To Know About You Personally?

From personal experience, I am able to identify areas where the Office of Register of Wills can improve its services for residents who need them. My own experience with loss, and with raising a daughter with special needs, drives my commitment to serve with empathy and understanding. I approach my public service work through the lens of addressing social, financial, educational, and cultural barriers when it comes to connecting many communities with the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.
