Why Are You Running For Office?
I’m running because I believe we need proactive, not reactive, leadership. Too many of the challenges we face today across housing, schools, and overall affordability didn’t just happen overnight. We need leaders who can see problems coming, act early, and get results.
What Is The Biggest Issue Facing Voters In This Race?
Affordability. Families are being squeezed by the cost of housing, childcare, utilities, and everyday costs. A lot of people earn too much to qualify for help but also not enough to get ahead. We need to find practical solutions that help families stay in the communities they love and serve.
What Experience Best Prepares You For This Role?
I am a Research Director who helps organizations solve complex problems using data and evidence. I also earned a PhD focusing on how to reduce corruption in government and strengthen accountability. Most recently, I’ve served as vice-chair of MoCo’s Police Accountability Board. Throughout my career, I’ve been focused on finding what works, what doesn’t, and how to deliver better results.
What Would You Like Voters To Know About You Personally?
I’d like people to know that I’m a father and Germantown resident, a proud Dominican-American, and also a first-time candidate. I’m not a career politician, just someone who cares about this community and someone focused on problem-solving so that everyone has a fair shot!
