Moderately MOCO’s local news network continues to grow, and we’re making improvements behind the scenes to help keep Montgomery County residents better informed.
After Montgomery County’s latest website update caused issues with some of our automated MoCoFeed.com posts, we fixed the problem and used the opportunity to expand what MoCoFeed can cover.
That means more local updates, more public information, and more ways for residents to stay connected to what is happening across Montgomery County.
MoCoFeed.com was created to help collect and share local updates from government, public safety, community sources, and local news feeds in one place. While Moderately MOCO continues to publish original local news, community stories, business updates, events, sports coverage, and public-interest articles, MoCoFeed is designed to help surface a wider stream of public updates from around the county.
With the latest updates, MoCoFeed will now include even more local information.
Now Live on MoCoFeed
In addition to the regular posts already appearing on the site, readers will now see:
- Daily and weekly crime summaries
- City of Rockville news
- More Montgomery County government departments
These additions are part of a larger effort to make MoCoFeed a useful companion to Moderately MOCO, giving residents another way to keep up with local information that may not always make it into a full article.
Coming Soon
Additional updates are also in progress, including:
- City of Gaithersburg posts
- Full-featured Instagram posts
- Immediate sharing of all ModeratelyMOCO.com posts to X
The goal is simple: more local updates, shared more efficiently, across more platforms.
Moderately MOCO’s Local Audience Continues to Grow
The improvements come as the Moderately MOCO network continues to reach more people across the community. Across our local platforms, we are now up to approximately 28,000 local followers, with continued growth across social media, the website, local news feeds, and community distribution channels.
That audience has grown because residents, businesses, candidates, organizations, schools, teams, and community members continue to share information, send tips, follow updates, and help spread local news across Montgomery County.
We appreciate every reader, follower, contributor, advertiser, and community member who has helped build this platform.
Affordable Advertising for Local Businesses, Campaigns, and Community Groups
As our audience grows, Moderately MOCO is also continuing to offer local advertising options for political groups, candidates, small businesses, nonprofits, community organizations, and local events.
We offer advertising and promotional options across our website, social media channels, and local distribution network.
To keep local promotion accessible, we also offer heavily discounted ad options for small businesses, with basic ads starting at just $25 per month.
Our goal is to provide affordable ways for local organizations and businesses to reach Montgomery County residents without needing a large marketing budget.
More Local Updates Ahead
The latest MoCoFeed improvements are one more step toward building a stronger local information network for Montgomery County.
Moderately MOCO will continue publishing local stories, community news, sports, events, business updates, public-interest coverage, and original articles, while MoCoFeed.com will continue expanding as a hub for additional local updates and public information.
