The 2025/2026 Regular Season in Montgomery County was loaded with great performances and stellar play! The players up for All-County were nominated by the 25 Montgomery County Head Coaches. Each coach was free to, but not obligated to, nominate 2 players from their rosters that they felt were All-County worthy. Players nominated were then voted on by all coaches.

1st Team All-County
Starting off, the 2025/2026 Montgomery County Men’s Basketball Player of the Year, Gabe Colston ’27 from Kennedy, was the county’s leading scorer this year at 25.2 points per game. There were only 4 games in which he scored less than 20 points this season and scored a ridiculous 46 points Vs. Rockville. Also efficient, shooting 46% from the field and 42% from 3pt.
Tavares “Boogie” Vaughan-Cooper ’26 eclipsed the 1500 point mark this season and became Richard Montgomery’s All-Time leading scorer in the process.
Max Williams ’27 from Whitman was d riving force for the Vikings offense this season averaging 18.1 points per game to go along with 5.2 rebounds and 3.8 assist per game.
Ethan Ray ’27 from Damascus was an explosive player this season. The 2nd leading scorer in the county, averaging 21.3 points per game, the 6’5″ wing also averaged 5.1 rebounds per game and 1.6 steals.
Jamar Nix ’27 from Sherwood made his mark on both ends. He led the Warriors in scoring with 18.7 points per game and on the glass with just under 7 rebounds per game. An All-Defensive 1st Team selection, Nix averaged a block and 1.3 steals per game as well.

2nd Team All-County
Tahj Martin ’26 from the 2X County Champions Blake Bengals help lead the way for a squad that had loads of talent. Martin averaged 12.2 points per game on 42% FG to go along with 4.3 rebounds, 3.8 assist, and 2.0 steals per game. Martin was also a All-Defensive 2nd Team Selection.
Top 5 scorer in the county, Chase Mitchell ’26 had some exciting performances this season, dropping 40 point on Damascus, 35 on BCC, 30 on Northwood, and 29 on Richard Montgomery. The dynamic scorer averaged 20.5 points per game leading a young and exciting Wootton squad.
The walking double-double from Kennedy, Mike Wright ’26 was force on the glass and defensive end for the Cavaliers averaging 10 rebounds per game to go along with 1 steal and 1.5 blocks per game. He also was a force offensively, averaging 16 points per game.
Armaan Jain ’26, the big man from Poolesville was the force in the middle for the MCPS North Division Champions. Jain averaged 15 points per game to go along with 7.5 rebounds per game. He also averaged 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per game this season.
Zeke Dabbondanza ’27 from Magruder has some strong performances this season including 16 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assist, and 3 steals Vs. Blake giving them their only loss of the season. Zeke was stellar all season for the Colonels averaging 14 points per game. 7 rebounds, 4 assist, and 3 steals. Dabbondanza was also an All-Defensive 1st Team Selection.

3rd Team All-County
All-Defensive 1st Team Selection, Ian Bullie ’26 was a force for the Screaming Eagles in the middle. Averaging 11 points per game and among the county leaders in rebounds, with 8.1 rebounds per game, Bullie was also the county leader is blocks with 2.7 blocks per game.
With 14 points per game, Tim Byrd ’26 from BCC led the Baron offense. A bomber from 3pt land, Byrd dropped in 42% from beyond the arc. He also added just under 5 rebounds per game and 2.8 assist.
With Armaan Jain and DPOY Emmanuel Chukwurah, Jordan Smith ’26 formed a formidable front court for the Falcons. Averaging 14 points per game and 6 rebounds per game, the 6’6″ senior was tough to stop both around the rim and from the perimeter.
Arguably the best 3pt shooter in the county this year was Jonah Wertlieb ’26 from Magruder, as he knocked down 70 of 146 (48%). A big part of the Colonel offense averaging 15 points per game.
Bobby Zedak ’26, a 4 year varsity member of the Whitman Vikings and a veteran of big games in the county, formed a dynamic duo with Max Williams, averaging 15 point per game.
