National Capital Region Lagging Significantly Behind Rest of Maryland for Vaccinations (1/2/2021) – Includes Moco

Here are a few charts that show vaccination data for the state of Maryland.

The first graph shows the percent of the population that has been vaccinated by 1/02/2021. It shows that the National Capital Region (which includes MOCO is lagging significantly behind the rest of the state.

Note that at .39%, all but one other region has more than double the percent of population vaccinated at this point. Since Moco does not yet have its own vaccination dashboard, this is the closest official information for Moco we have at this point.

This chart shows similar region breakdown of pure number of vaccinations done (as of 1/02/2020):

At the same time, according to Moco officials, the county has given out most (70%) of the vaccines they themselves have been given so not all blame can be placed there.

We will be keeping a very close eye on vaccination progress and will be updating charts with regularity. All charts will be uploaded here in addition to any individual posts.
