Silver Spring Stage

3. Silver Spring State- One Act Festival Submission

Submission Due Date: Deadline is April 19 or when we receive 250 submissions, whichever comes first.

Details: Deadline is April 19 or when we receive 250 submissions, whichever comes first.

• Plays should be between 15-50 minutes, with a minimum of 12 pages and a maximum of 55 pages in length.

• Playwrights should keep in mind that our theater has two sides facing the audience in a diamond configuration.

• There will be no development opportunities for selected plays. Submissions should be ready for production.

• New this year: playwrights can attach a director to their submission who will direct their play in the festival, if chosen.

Requirements

• One play per playwright.

• Plays may be previously produced but not published.

• Use standard play formatting, including the use of a 12-point font. For more guidelines, refer to the Dramatists Guild.

• Remove all mentions of your name and contact information—the script must be blinded in order to be considered.

• Submit works as PDFs only.

• If submitting a director for your play, please include a PDF of their resume.
