Last year in September of 2022 we did a series of photos about development along the Great Seneca Science Corridor. See that post also for a map of the different locations discussed below.
Today we have a treat which is drone imagery updates of that area courtesy of Tim Pruss at MyDronePro.
Site 1 – 9810 Darnestown Road
Adjacent to the Universities at Shady Grove, which is also featured in these pictures, this new building is the first part of a larger plan for this property.
You can see the planning document for the whole plan here. Horizon Therapeutics signed a long term full building lease on this new building earlier this year.
Sugarloaf Mountain can be seen in the second image.
Universities At Shady Grove
We also took a look at the Universities At Shady Grove which features some gorgeous architecture of it’s own.
Site 2 – 9710 Great Seneca Highway
The final plan can be seen here via Montgomery Planning.
The plan here includes 44.8 Acres – 276 townhomes, 56 2-over-2 units, and 298 apartments for a total of 630 dwelling units and 1740 of commercial use.
Site 4 – 9950 Medical Center Drive
The plan for this location can be seen here via Montgomery Planning.
Looks like this location has been leased by TCR2 Therapeutics with a 15 year agreement

Still haven’t seen enough? Tim Pruss at MyDronePro also captured this video nearby Rio Washingtonian in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
