Looking for something different to do in Montgomery County this summer? RIDE MoCo’s Rooted in Unity program is bringing community, culture, wellness, and outdoor fun together through a series of farm-based events running from May through July.
Rooted in Unity, also known as RIU, is a local program focused on creating opportunities for residents to connect with nature, horses, and each other in an inclusive outdoor setting. This summer’s event series includes relaxed morning coffee gatherings and high-energy evening line dance nights, giving residents multiple ways to connect, unwind, and enjoy a local farm environment.
Coffee Hour: A Morning Community Gathering
Rooted in Unity’s Coffee Hour offers a laid-back space for residents to gather, connect, and recharge in a peaceful outdoor environment.
The morning series will take place on May 29 and June 26 at 10:00 a.m.
Guests can enjoy coffee and light refreshments while engaging in casual conversation. The event is designed for networking, meeting new people, or simply starting the day in a calm, community-centered space.
Boots on the Ground: Line Dancing, DJ, and Outdoor Vibes
For those looking for a more energetic evening experience, Boots on the Ground will bring line dancing, a live DJ, and an upbeat outdoor atmosphere to the farm.
The evening dance series will take place on June 6, July 18, and July 25 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
No experience is needed. Attendees can come ready to move, learn, connect, and enjoy an outdoor night of music and community.
