Why Are You Running For Office?
As a longtime Montgomery County resident and local business owner, I have seen our County change in ways that increasingly concern me. Families are feeling the pressure of rising costs, businesses are leaving, and many residents feel that the services they receive no longer match the taxes they are paying.
Like many residents, I have watched County taxes continue to rise year after year, making it harder for families to remain in Montgomery County. At the same time, many people feel the quality of services is declining. School rankings have slipped, public safety has been weakened by efforts to defund the police and remove School Resource Officers from schools, upzoning to artificially increase the densification of established neighborhoods and transportation policies, such as road diets, have made commutes more difficult for working families.
I am also concerned about proposals such as the boundary study that could lead to busing of students and disruption for families, as well as the lack of long-term planning around energy policy and infrastructure. These are complex issues that require thoughtful leadership, transparency, and a willingness to listen to residents.
Simply put, I believe the leadership in Rockville has lost sight of what matters most to the people they represent. While taxes continue to increase, many residents feel they are not receiving the level of service they deserve.
What Is The Biggest Issue Facing Voters In This Race?

What Experience Best Prepares You For This Role?
My background is rooted in engineering, technology, and business leadership. Over the course of more than 30 years as a business owner, I have built organizations, managed budgets, met payrolls, and navigated tough economic challenges. Running a business requires discipline, accountability, and the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively. Those same skills are essential in government, and I believe my experience gives me a perspective that is currently missing on the County Council.
I have been a local activist and have been involved with several ballot petitions including term limits, testified on critical issues and worked with council staff on important issues.
What Would You Like Voters To Know About You Personally?
I believe in the power of intellectually honest dialog. I believe that when people have an honest conversation, they find more commonalities than differences. When we focus on the commonalities, we can work together the accomplish great things.
