On July 28, 2024 Major League Cricket held its annual Championship game in Dallas, Texas where MoCo’s own cricket team Washington Freedom won the national championship against the San Francisco Unicorns.
Washington Freedom is one of 6 national teams that competes in Major League Cricket and is based here in Rockville, Maryland under the banner Infinite Computer Solutions. Washington Freedom’s coach is the legendary player Ricky Ponting and the Captain is internationally renowned player Steve Smith. The team is a mix of international players from New Zealand, Australia, India, Pakistan, South Africa and the U.S. – representing the incredible diversity of the game.
