CASA in Action PAC reported approximately $5.53 million in contributions and $5.76 million in expenditures through the latest filing reviewed. The PAC reported independent political spending supporting candidates in Montgomery County, Prince George’s County and Gaithersburg, as well as spending on statewide and local ballot questions.

A Super PAC does not have to give money directly to a candidate to influence a race. It can instead pay for canvassing, printing, direct mail, digital advertising, staff and other independent political activity.

Caballero also ran in the Democratic primary for an at-large County Council seat.

Shaw ran in the Democratic primary for the District 3 County Council seat.

Debbie Spielberg — Montgomery County Council, District 1
Spielberg ran in the Democratic primary for the District 1 County Council seat.
